As cats age, they need specialized care to ensure their continued health. Our Senior Care Feline Programs include all of the routine healthcare your cat needs at up to 15% off our regular fees.

Senior Care Canine Programs are for cats aged 8 years and older.

Annual Check-Up Consultation

Twice yearly, we perform a complete check-up. During these appointments, our doctors and technicians will collect a full history and perform a series of examinations and assessments to prevent disease.

Senior cats continue to need regular vaccines to stay healthy. Our Senior Care Feline Programs include these vaccinations:

  • FVRCP Combo (rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia)

  • Rabies

  • Feline Leukemia

Parasite Screening

We include up to 3 fecal exams that help us detect parasites and other intestinal organisms that can cause disease. We then recommend a parasiticide (dewormer) for your pet to take regularly.

Preventive Blood Tests

Blood work screens for medical conditions, including diabetes and kidney disease. Early diagnosis and management can improve quality of life. Even if your cat is young and healthy, performing this testing establishes normal values which can be compared overtime. Our tests include a “CBC” (complete blood count), which can help determine whether your cat is dehydrated, anemic or dealing with an infection. The “comprehensive chemistry” monitors internal organ function (liver, kidneys, pancreas) and the “urinalysis” assesses the health of the kidneys and urinary system and detects diabetes. The “Total T4” screens for hyperthyroidism.

Annual Blood Pressure Testing

There are several medical conditions where regular monitoring helps keep your cat healthy and provides much needed information for your veterinarian.

Dental Cleaning

As tartar builds up, abscesses may form along the gum line causing infection. Left unattended, the infection can enter the blood stream, leading to serious health problems such as heart, liver, lung and kidney disease. Dental cleanings include an examination, x-rays, anesthesia, cleaning and polishing to remove plaque from tooth surfaces.
