I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, but my decision to become a veterinarian really took shape when I volunteered in animal shelters. I wanted to be in a position where I could directly address the issues I was seeing and have the knowledge and resources to make a difference.
I graduated from LaGrange College in 2014 with a Bachelor’s in Biology, and went on to earn a dual degree in Veterinary Medicine and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Missouri in 2018.
Some of my greatest passions in veterinary medicine are supporting the human-animal bond and providing compassionate palliative and end-of-life care. I am also very interested in the public health side of veterinary medicine. What I enjoy most about my job is problem solving, working together with pet owners and our veterinary team to find solutions, and celebrating the wins when they come.
Outside of work, I love reading, fiber arts, cooking, and exploring local hiking trails.
