Dr. Kim Greydanus
Kim grew up in Fredericton, then moved to Nova Scotia to earn her degree in Animal Science from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College (Dalhousie University). Shen then went on to graduate from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island.
After completing a post-graduate equine internship in New Jersey, Kim headed to Alberta to practice mixed equine and small animal medicine near Edmonton. In 2018, after 10 years out west, she moved home to New Brunswick with her husband and three children and joined the team at FAH.
Kim has always loved animals, both big and small. Her first real exposure to the world of veterinary medicine was by following a veterinarian around the barn and watching him work. Kim thought it would be such a rewarding career to be able to provide care for animals. She also loved the idea that every single day is different for a vet – there are always new challenges and new things to learn.
Her areas of special interest are general surgery, preventative medicine, and the human-animal bond. Kim has three dogs: a Boston terrier, a cockatoo, and a Great Pyrenees. Aside from spending time at the barn and anything horse-related, she enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.
